Mr. Jason Baldwin, Assistant
Chief of the Mayfield Fire Department, was the Lowes Elementary School’s second
grade mystery reader for the month of October. Students were given clues about
the reader the week before his arrival. Mr. Baldwin was dressed in full
firefighter equipment. He shared fire
safety tips and discussed his uniform equipment with the students. They discussed emergency evacuation plans for
their homes. Students enjoyed hearing Mr.
Baldwin read Clifford the Firehouse Dog,
which included fire safety.
